eWildlife Photo features images captured by Steven Kobrine.
Steven took his first class in photography in 1973 at the age of 8 years old through a program at Reseda High School in the San Fernando Valley taught by Mr King. From then on, Steven continued with photography including classes with the incomparable Mr Kluth at Taft High School where he became a teaching assistant for Mr Kluth.
Steven worked in the 'PhotoCell' in the student union while attending the University of California, Berkeley and then spent the next couple of decades playing with his Nikon FA.
After moving to Montanain 1999, Steven realized his opportunities at nearby Yellowstone National Park as well as elsewhere in Montana especially after a trip of Yellowstone National Park with Julia Smith Lewis and decided to switch over to Canon equipment for their autofocus, image stabilized lenses. He currently uses his Canon 30D and 20D most of the time and occasionally gets his EOS 3 out as well.
Since then, Steven has traveled the world looking to capture images but many of the images are from Yellowstone National Park. Alaska is another frequent state that Steven visits in his quests for wildlife images.
For his photography laboratory, Steven uses Autumn Color which is based in Worcester, Massachusetts.
While not photographing wildlife, Steven is a practicing physician and enjoys running marathons. He was part of the United States National Team in the World Championship Duathlon in October 2007 as well as running the St George and New York Marathons during the fall of 2007.
